Supported accessibility features

Here's what Elderella supports today across iPhone, Android, and the web.

Screen reader Supported Supported Screens, lists, forms, and actions are labeled for screen-reader use — VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android, and NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver in the browser through semantic HTML and ARIA.
Keyboard & voice navigation Supported Supported On iOS, controls have spoken names for Voice Control — say "tap" followed by a control name. In the browser, every control is reachable and operable by keyboard with a visible focus outline.
Larger Text Supported Partial On mobile, text scales with iOS Dynamic Type and Android font scaling, capped per element to keep layouts intact. In the browser, page zoom works throughout; some text does not yet resize with the browser's default-font-size setting.
Differentiate Without Color Alone Supported Supported Status, priority, and role indicators pair color with icons or text labels on every surface.
Sufficient Contrast Supported Supported All text meets WCAG AA contrast on its background; web and mobile share the same color palette.
Reduced Motion Supported Not yet Looping and decorative animations are suppressed when iOS Reduce Motion or Android Remove Animations is on. The browser version does not yet honor the reduced-motion setting.
Dark Interface Not supported Not supported Elderella currently uses a light interface on every surface.
Captions Not applicable Not applicable Elderella doesn't play video content.
Audio Descriptions Not applicable Not applicable Elderella doesn't play video content.

Known limitations

  • Elderella uses a light color scheme; it does not currently offer a dark interface.
  • Voice notes and call recordings come with text transcripts, but the captions aren't time-synced to the audio.
  • On the web, the reduced-motion setting is not yet honored — animations still play.
  • On the web, page zoom works throughout, but some text does not yet resize with the browser's default-font-size setting.
