Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 30, 2026

This policy applies to consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act (chapter 19.373 RCW). It covers the health data that Elderella Inc. ("Elderella", "we") collects about you, and about the elder you care for, through the Elderella app and website. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.

Health data we collect, and why

We collect these categories of consumer health data:

  • Medications and vaccines, with doses, schedules and changes
  • Health conditions, diagnoses, allergies and symptoms
  • Appointments and visits with health care providers, and the names of those providers
  • Health readings you record, such as blood pressure or weight
  • Care notes, voice notes and recordings of medical visits, and their transcripts
  • Documents and photos you add, such as prescriptions, test results and medication labels
  • Messages about care, including care team chats and chats with Ella
  • Recordings and transcripts of calls, and texts, to your elder's care number, when you set one up

We collect and use this data to:

  • Give you the features you ask for: organize the information, send reminders, and keep the care team up to date
  • Answer your questions in Ella chat, and prepare summaries and briefings
  • Check medications for possible interactions
  • Screen calls to the care number for scams
  • Help you when you contact support
  • Keep Elderella secure and prevent misuse
  • Meet our legal obligations

Where it comes from

  • You, when you type, speak, photograph or upload information
  • The care team members you invite, and the elder if they join the care team
  • Texts, emails and group chat messages that you or your care team send to Elderella
  • Calendars, email inboxes and Google Drive folders you connect to Elderella
  • A care provider you approve, when they send documents to your elder's record
  • Calls and texts to your elder's care number, from the people who call or text it

Health data we share

  • Any category in section 1, with the care team members you invite. Each member sees only what their role allows.
  • Any category in section 1, in Siri's spoken answer, only when you ask Siri about care in Elderella.
  • Appointment details, in the calendar you sync them to, only when you choose to include details.

We do not sell consumer health data.

Who we share it with

We share consumer health data with these third parties, only when you ask:

  • Care team members you invite, who are other Elderella users
  • Apple (Siri), only when you ask Siri about care in Elderella
  • The calendar service you sync appointments to, such as Apple (iCloud), Google or Microsoft, only when you choose to include details
