Tap the microphone icon and start talking. When you're done, Elderella transcribes your recording and saves both the audio and the transcript as a note. The transcript is fully searchable, so you can ask Ella about anything you said — even months later. Recording length depends on your plan.

Why do I have to choose which elder my phone number is linked to?

When you text Elderella directly, Ella needs to know which elder's profile to save the information to. Your phone number tells her where the information belongs. If you care for multiple elders, link your phone number to the elder you update most often. You can switch your phone number to a different elder anytime by going to Settings, tapping SMS Settings, and selecting a different elder.

What happens when I connect my calendar?

Elderella connects with Google Calendar, with more calendars on the way. Once your Google account is connected, Elderella looks through your existing events and adds care-related ones automatically. Care events stay up to date in both places—updates in Google Calendar appear in Elderella, and events created in Elderella appear on your Google Calendar. Elderella sends reminders before appointments and keeps your care team's schedules in one place so nothing overlaps. You control what gets connected—Elderella only accesses the calendars you connect.

No. Elderella looks through your event titles for your elder's name or words like "Mom" or "Dad." Only care-related events—like "Mom's cardiology appointment"—come into Elderella for your review. Your dinner plans, work meetings, and personal appointments never appear, so nobody sees them but you.

How do I remove someone from my care team or leave a team?

To remove someone: Go to Care Team, tap the three dots next to their name, and select "Remove from Team." They lose access immediately. Nothing they added is deleted. To leave a team you've been invited to: Open the elder's profile, tap "Care Team," find your own member card, and tap "Leave Care Team." After leaving, you'll no longer have access to that elder's care information on Elderella. A primary caregiver can re-add you later if needed. Note: Primary Caregivers don't see this option. To step down as a Primary Caregiver, first ask another team member to be promoted to Primary Caregiver, then you can leave.

Each elder needs their own profile — this keeps their medications, appointments, and care details separate and accurate. Your own profile is always free, and care team members (siblings, aides, etc.) don't pay separately — they're included in your plan.

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?

You can change your plan anytime under Settings > Subscription. Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated difference. Downgrade: Takes effect at your next billing date. You keep your current features until then. Your care information is not deleted: Care memory beyond 90 days won't be accessible, but it's not gone. Voice notes longer than 5 minutes are preserved but new ones follow your plan's limit. Extra care team members can still view information but can't be added to new tasks. You can upgrade again anytime to restore full access. Cancel: You'll move to the Free plan at the end of your billing period. Your information stays safe — you don't lose access to Elderella. If you ever want to delete your account entirely, please fill out the form on the delete account page, and we'll permanently remove all your data within 30 days.

Do care team members need to pay separately?
