What happens after my Plus trial?

When you sign up, you get full access to Plus for 7 days — with the chance to extend to 14 days by using Elderella each day during your first week. When your trial ends, you choose: subscribe to Plus or Premium to keep all the features, or continue using Elderella for free — no payment required. Your care information stays safe regardless of which plan you choose. If you stay on the Free plan, we'll keep helping. Chat with Ella, notes and documents, medication lists and reminders, events, tasks, 90 days of care memory, and 3 care team members are included. Paid plans add larger care teams, unlimited care memory access, and personalized caregiver briefings.

How does the "per elder" pricing work?

Accepted Answer

You pay based on how many elders you're caring for. If you're caring for one parent, you pay for one elder. If you're caring for both parents, you'd pay for two. Each elder needs their own profile — this keeps their medications, appointments, and care details separate and accurate. Your own profile is always free, and care team members (siblings, aides, etc.) don't pay separately — they're included in your plan.

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?

You can change your plan anytime under Settings > Subscription. Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated difference. Downgrade: Takes effect at your next billing date. You keep your current features until then. Your care information is not deleted: Care memory beyond 90 days won't be accessible, but it's not gone. Voice notes longer than 5 minutes are preserved but new ones follow your plan's limit. Extra care team members can still view information but can't be added to new tasks. You can upgrade again anytime to restore full access. Cancel: You'll move to the Free plan at the end of your billing period. Your information stays safe — you don't lose access to Elderella. If you ever want to delete your account entirely, please fill out the form on the delete account page, and we'll permanently remove all your data within 30 days.

Do care team members need to pay separately?

No. Care team members are included in your plan at no extra cost. When you invite family members, friends, or professional caregivers to your care team, they get access based on the permissions you set — and they don't need their own subscription. Only the account owner managing the elder's profile pays.

Can we change who is paying for an elder?

Yes. To transfer billing responsibility: The current subscriber makes the new person a "Primary Caregiver" on the care team The current subscriber downgrades to Free The new Primary Caregiver subscribes to a paid plan Your care memory and team stay intact throughout the switch.
