Add Ella to your group chats
Your family already talks about care, and Ella remembers every detail.
Ella joins your family’s WhatsApp or text group chat and catches care details as they come up. Appointments, medications, tasks, and more—organized without any extra work.

How to add Ella
It takes about two minutes. Here’s how.
First, find Ella’s number
-
1
On your elder’s home screen, tap About [elder’s name] in the bottom right corner.
-
2
Tap “View Ella’s Contact Information”.
-
3
You’ll see two phone numbers—the first is for text messages, the second is for WhatsApp. Tap a number to copy it.
-
4
Open your WhatsApp group chat and tap the group name at the top.
-
5
Tap “+Add” to add Ella, paste her WhatsApp number in the New contact card, and tap “Done”.
-
6
Back in Elderella, go to Settings › WhatsApp Integration. Your group will appear there—scroll to it and choose which elder to link it to.
-
7
Ella will now capture care details from the WhatsApp group chat.
Ella works in multiple WhatsApp groups. Link each group to a specific elder so she knows where to file the details.
-
4
Make sure everyone in the group text is part of your elder’s care team in Elderella. If they aren’t, their texts won’t be captured.
-
5
Open your family group text and tap the name(s) at the top.
-
6
Tap “+Add” to add Ella, paste her text number, and tap the blue check.
-
7
Ella will now capture care details from the group text.
Text can only be linked to one elder at a time. Ella works in multiple text groups but all captured care details will go to one elder’s profile. If you care for more than one person in Elderella, choose which person receives text care details in Settings.
You can use both WhatsApp and text group chats at the same time.
