Getting started

Add Ella to your group chats

Your family already talks about care, and Ella remembers every detail.

Ella joins your family’s WhatsApp or text group chat and catches care details as they come up. Appointments, medications, tasks, and more—organized without any extra work.

A WhatsApp group chat where family members discuss care. Ella extracts a medication change, a new care team member, and an appointment — each shown as a card ready for review.

How to add Ella

It takes about two minutes. Here’s how.

  1. 1

On your elder’s home screen, tap About [elder’s name] in the bottom right corner.

  2. 2

    Tap “View Ella’s Contact Information”.

  3. 3

You’ll see two phone numbers—the first is for text messages, the second is for WhatsApp. Tap a number to copy it.

  1. 4

Open your WhatsApp group chat and tap the group name at the top.

  2. 5

Tap “+Add” to add Ella, paste her WhatsApp number in the New contact card, and tap “Done”.

  3. 6

Back in Elderella, go to SettingsWhatsApp Integration. Your group will appear there—scroll to it and choose which elder to link it to.

  4. 7

Ella will now capture care details from the WhatsApp group chat.

Ella works in multiple WhatsApp groups. Link each group to a specific elder so she knows where to file the details.

You can use both WhatsApp and text group chats at the same time.

What happens next

Mention an appointment, a task, or a medication in your group chat, then open Elderella. Anything Ella picks up appears on your elder’s home screen for you to confirm. She doesn’t reply in the group—she listens quietly and organizes what matters.
