Add Ella to your family group chat
Your family already talks about care. Now Ella can listen and remember.
First, save Ella to your phone
Tap “About [Elder]” on your elder’s home screen, find Ella’s contact card, and tap “Add” to save her to your phone’s contacts. Your phone will ask for access to your contacts to add Ella to your contacts. The whole setup takes under two minutes.
Once Ella is in your contacts, add her to any WhatsApp group where your family discusses care. She’ll start picking up appointments, medications, tasks, and daily details from the conversation.
You can also create a new WhatsApp group specifically for your elder’s care. Ella works in multiple groups — one for each elder, one for each side of the family, or however your conversations are organized.
Text message
Add Ella to a group text the same way you’d add anyone else. She picks up care details from the conversation and adds them to your elder’s profile for your review.
One thing to know: SMS can only be linked to one elder at a time. If you care for more than one person, choose which elder receives SMS details in Settings.
Email works too
Ella’s contact card also includes her email address. Forward a doctor’s summary, a list of your elder’s preferences, or a family member’s notes and Ella adds the details to your elder’s care memory. Anyone on your care team can email Ella directly.
Pro tip:
Already have a family text thread about care? Add Ella to that one first. She’ll start capturing details from conversations your family is already having.
