Common scenarios
Every family is different. Select what feels right for you, and know there’s no wrong choice.
Inviting a sibling
They’re probably calling you for updates already. Give them Primary Caregiver access so they can step in whenever you need them to.
Inviting a paid aide or home care worker
They need information to do their job well. Caregiver access gives them tasks, notes, medications, and upcoming events.
Inviting your elder themselves
If your elder is comfortable with technology, Caregiver access lets them stay in the loop or contribute to their own care record. They get visibility without the administration.
Inviting a neighbour or community member
Maybe they do the weekly shop or check in after appointments. Contributor access means they can see tasks, notes, and events assigned to them without seeing anything else.
Inviting a doctor or pharmacist
Your elder’s healthcare provider needs the medication list and appointment history, not your personal notes or task list. Medical Professional access gives them exactly what they need, and nothing they don’t.
Adding a contact only
The gardener, the house cleaner, the massage therapist. They don’t need Elderella access — but you need their number when something comes up. Contact Only keeps their info on file for anyone on the care team to find.
